Jazz, Blues, Country and Cover Bands Entertain Concert-Goers at The Meadows

CASTLE ROCK, Colo., April 13, 2009 – The Meadows at Historic Castle Rock™, a master-planned community south of Denver, today announced the line-up for its summer concert series, Music in The Meadows™. Dotsero, The Hollyfelds, The Informants and Martini Shot will be playing free concerts at Butterfield Crossing Park in the Castle Rock community.

“These events in years’ past have gone a long way in creating the fantastic sense of community we have in The Meadows,” said Jim Riley, president of Castle Rock Development Company. “The economy being what it is, we expect this year to be even bigger and better. Good music and great people, all at no cost; you can’t beat that!”

The 2009 Music in The Meadows schedule is as follows (all concerts 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.):

  • July 8 - Dotsero, voted Westword’s Readers’ Poll “Best Jazz Band” in Denver for a record eleven-years in a row.
  • July 22 - The Hollyfelds - voted “Best Country Band” by Westword
  • August 5 - The Informants - voted “Best Blues Band” by Music Showcase 2008
  • August 19 - Martini Shot - voted “Best Local Cover Band” in Colorado Springs by Colorado Springs Independent

Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket, lawn chairs, picnic food and drink. Concessions will be available for purchase.
