Soak Up The Season: 3 Fun Castle Rock Fall Festivals

It might still feel like summer throughout the day, but if you go outside in the morning, you can feel that fall chill. The leaves are slowly turning in The Meadows, and soon, it will feel like fall, one of the best times to explore The Meadows and Downtown Castle Rock. Fall festivals truly bring out that small-town spirit that still fills the streets of downtown and The Meadows. Grab your pumpkin spice latte or apple cider, and check out these festivals in October.

PumpkinFest pumpkin patch

You won’t have to go far to join the fun in The Meadows. PumpkinFest is legendary in the neighborhood. The annual fest features bounce houses, hay rides, live music, and a pumpkin patch. It happens at The Grange on Saturday, October 14th. Get all of your PumpkinFest Details here.

Spooktacular

Halloween in Castle Rock officially kicks off at Spooktacular on Saturday, October 21st, at Philip S. Miller Park. The annual tradition celebrates all things non-spooky. Bring the family and dress in your favorite family-friendly costume for an afternoon of games, prizes, food, and plenty of candy for the kids. Spooktacular is a highlight of the fall season each year. Find the event details and age-appropriate times here

Fall Festival Featuring Creepy Crawlies Around The Rock

Head downtown to Festival Park on Sunday, October 22nd, for the town’s Fall Festival to stroll through the park and pop in and out of vendor tents featuring fall and Halloween-themed crafts, gifts, and foods. The Douglas Land Conservancy will also be on hand to show and educate you on some creepier animals crawling around Castle Rock. Look for snakes, toads, and more. Check out more here.

Embrace the change in the season and enjoy fall while it lasts. Whether at one of these festivals or enjoying the colors on a trail, Castle Rock and The Meadows are great places to soak in the cooler and beautiful temps.
