Treasures at The Meadows include an abundance of open space and trails. The first 32 acres of Native Legend Open Space forms the framework for the community's outdoor recreation. In this natural environment, multi-purpose concrete trails will connect with Interpretive Learning Stations, the Suncatcher earth art sculpture and scenic overlooks.

New trails are planned to run through the Native Legend Open Space and ultimately connect to the Plum Creek trail system, meandering through 100-year-old Ponderosa Pines, tall Cottonwood trees and wild natural terrain. The Town of Castle Rock's plan calls for linking this trail in The Meadows with downtown Castle Rock.
